Tauck to Expand River Cruise Fleet For 2016
Tauck will name its two 2016 Inspiration-class river cruise vessels the Grace and the Joy. The names were selected from a pool of nearly 400 entries submitted by Tauck employees during a company-wide naming contest conducted last fall. Like Tauck’s other Inspiration-class ships, the Grace and Joy will be 443 feet in length and carry 130 passengers. Their launch will bring Tauck’s river fleet to a total of nine vessels.

Tauck’s capacity will have expanded 125{625323b24af37c24f5a97fddb81c67dba8bd357996214eb0318c02ab7c1b66cd} over a two-year period, including the launch of the 118-passenger Esprit this spring. The Grace and Joy will feature the Inspiration class’ signature lofted lower-deck cabins, eight 225-square-foot cabins that feature higher ceilings, soaring windows and a raised seating area. The vessels will have 22 suites at 300 square feet each, with two French balconies and floor-to-ceiling windows, a pull-out couch, walk-in closets with built-in drawers, and a bathroom with rain shower.

They will also have 32 cabins at 225 square feet each, and 13 cabins ranging from 150 to 190 square feet. Four of the 150-square-foot cabins will be set aside for solo travelers.
